I was just "informed" by DScruggs that we are going bracket racing Friday night at Quarter Aces Drag-O-Way. This is something the Carlisle puts on for the attendees in conjunction with the Dragstrip.

Shawn, Josh...I know you guys are at least interested.
For anyone else that wants to come and watch, we need our own cheering section.

Website info is a BIT sparse but it looks like we can run trophy class (or maybe Sport Compact class) for an entry fee of $30

Spectators are $10. Kids under 12 are free.

We have the opportunity to go drag racing Friday night at the Carlisle Meet.

We have two options. Quarter Aces or Maple Grove.

If we go to Quarter Aces (formerly South Mountain)
Quarter Aces Drag-O-Way Official Website
Quarter Aces Drag-O-Way

We will be at a 1/8th mile track.
It is a podunk track with few modern features.
It will be $30 entry fee to race and $10 for spectators.
It will be about 10 miles (20 minutes) from Carlisle.
It will be an event "Sponsored" by Carlisle and held in conjunction with the event.
We would be racing for trophies against all types of vehicles.

If we go to Maple Grove
Maple Grove Raceway
Auto Locator Friday Night Grudge Racing

We will be at a 1/4th mile track.
It is a world class track with Modern features. National NHRA races are held there every year.
It will be $25 entry fee to race and $10 for spectators.
It will be about 75 miles (90 minutes) from Carlisle.
It will be an open event where we will be able to have our OWN bracket race.
We would be racing for pride amongst ourselves.
Those who wished just to do time runs could do so.
Those who are eliminated from the bracket can continue time runs.

Opinions? Ideas? Feedback? Interest?

I say maple grove. It may be a little more expensive gas wise, but would be much more fun.

Having our own bracket would be nice. We would get more runs that way.

My jetpack doesn't kick in til 1/8 mile, so definately 1/4 mile interests me.

Just as an FYI this is 140 miles round trip, so it will be a late night.
I am leaning against taking my car as I want to leave it on the showfield.
I will go with Josh, and be his "pit bitch" if we go 1/8 or 1/4 mile racing.
If we go to Maple Grove, it will be a haul.....
