I was working in the yard...not even near my '03 Corde, and I noticed the headlights flashing at me!!! I thought my wife was doing something with the key fob...went in and she was asleep on the couch! I used the key fob to unlock and lock the doors and waited a few moments and they flashed a few times again!
Started it up and let it run a minute or two...never noticed it again...any ideas?

reminds me of the movie maximum overdrive when the married couple drives by the junk cars, 1 being a plymouth valiant, the other a mustang, and i dont rember the other one. the cars headlights were flashing because they passed through the tail of the comet and all the machines gained their own minds

My GP did something similar a couple years ago. The parking lights would flashing every 20 seconds indefinitely. The problem went away on its own... was very weird.

...think it might still be happening when I am not looking...now the battery is so dead the power locks will not work...I am going to leave headlights in "off" mode from now on!

I gather battery replacement is a pain...any advice would be appreciated!

this is usually caused by one of the following

bad headlight/dimmer switch
loose battery/jump connections

If you have and alarm system, condensation around the plug area for the alarm module will cause it to go retarded. Happened to my pontiac a couple times.

If the fob was in your pocket, something may have touched the lock button - had it happen myself.
