i reworked the dash slighty. I had o move the heater controls to the cubby area and joined the opening for the radio and heater area to make room for the touch screen and slot load dvd.

*Update 10 May 07*
Carputer is in a cut down and mounted in a new, fabricated 18 gauge case. Nobody's stealing that sucker either (well, unless they have an impact gun!), I welded studs to the body, and bolted 'er down! Made for a great ground too! Cleared a ground loop problem I was having in prototyping right up!
Stopped into the local yard and picked up al the trunk material out of a wrecked intrepid so I can cover the carputer case and amp rack in matching material. 10 bucks later and a little ripping, I was on my way with more than enough material.
And I have a useable trunk again! Thank goodness, that mess was driving me up the wall! I was ashamed to have people in the car.
