Harbor Freight Tool Cabinets/Boxes?

Decisions..Decisions. Harbor Freight has the 5 drawer tool cart on sale for $169.99 again.

Or do I go for this deluxe Roller Cabinet Combo at $319.99?

Now before people get on me about the quality...I'm not looking for Snapon Quality and especially not their prices. The 5 drawer tool cart has been purchased by one or two in our community and they've been totally satisfied with it. The ratings on the HF site are good for both but who knows if they're legit or not.

Love the price on the 5 drawer tool cart but that $319.99 is a damn good price for a roller cabinet combo.I doubt I have enough tools to fill it up but I could always buy more tools.

Any thoughts?

If your tool selection will fit the 5 drawer on, then do it. It has ball bearing slides and the gas struts for the top lid. Casters seem fine for causal moving.

About 6 years ago, I went way over my "Allowed budget" for a tool box at work. I bought the one below and got chewed out due to the amount. I replied saying this tool box will be here for 15+ years, I need something with decent quality. This box has worked great and no complaints. Might be $40.00 more than 6 years ago and never has been moved once we got into place.

Think I'll run with the 5 Drawer Tool Cart. The price is right with coupon and the Forum people that have purchased them give them a thumbs up. I figure I'll be wheeling it around to the car outside my storage unit when i work on or clean the car. Not worried about security for it in places with public access as it'll be locked up in the storage unit most of the time.

One nice thing about it is the side shelf that will easily hold my Griot's Cleaning products. 22/32 oz Spray bottles. The bottom shelf will hold specialty tools in their own cases like spring compressors, Dremel tool, etc.

Thanks for the replies and votes.

I think right now...the 5 Drawer Tool Cart will suffice. I'll be picking one up this weekend. The sale of the Monroe Quickstruts paid for it and more!

I've seen that Hank. I'm only interested in the red 5 drawer one as a minimum.

And the 20% can't be used on tool chests, carts, etc. Thanks for looking out!

This is what, a 2 year necro.............For anyone looking to buy these 5 drawers tech carts, they are worth it....IF....you don't have a lot of tools and just the basics. I own 4 now and I store my electrical diagnostic and tools in one, power/air tools and batteries/chargers/accessories in another, the 3rd has a lot of my auto body stuff in it and the fourth is my "junk" drawer with extras, cast-offs and tools I have modified.

If you have a lot of tools at home, I suggest you go with the full size toolbox they sell. I just switched over and got their ICON toolbox and topper, and I love it. But their US General toolboxes are quite nice too.

And no, my home "garage" has plenty of space, converted a barn on my property into a full time garage.
