I changed the brake lines back in late April, wasn't too bad after all. Only issue was the rear lines and getting them over the cross-member.

Here are the new lines.

No pictures of the front end coming together, but I have a few of the grills getting painted. I think they look so much better in semi-gloss black than faded grey.

The engine bay freshly cleaned.

Here it was sitting on the winter wheels after the front end was installed.

Thanks Tom

I wanted to put this up yesterday but it was getting late...

So I've been driving the car for nearly a month now. I have been having cooling issues with the Intrepid so I had to push the car into service. All in all I'm very happy with the car, I love the sunroof and all the looks and questions I get about the car. A few issues have popped up though such as the AC needing to be recharged and figuring out why my speedometer is reading incorrectly. Also, I'm missing my aftermarket system from the SXT so I'll be moving the rest of that over once I get my custom made RCA's. It's a project that will never end, but I enjoy(usually) working on the car.

Future mods/ maintenance in the works :

- Transmission service
- Clay bar, polish and wax the whole car
- Install clear bra on the front end
- Aftermarket stereo install
- '02 Special PCM swap
- Spoiler Install

Pics as she sits now, a bit dirty though.

Steph, are those rear door lights something you added? I always thought they were just reflectors in the rear doors.
The door lights were added, sort-of. The car had reflectors on all 4 doors, but being a early build '03 it had the wiring in the doors already. So for the front I just needed to add the light and hook them up. For the rears, I tapped into the interior lighting circuit in the body harness and ran a wire into the pillar. From there, I installed a rear door harness from an '01 300M with the rear door lights. I then had to re-pin the body harness side of the door plug to match the '01 wiring. All this to say I re-wired the doors to full OEM specs like they came from the factory :)

Awesome car, Steph. I like your lighted door handles - how'd you put light in there?
I used some LED strips with 3M backing on them. They stuck up inside the door handle but away from where a person would touch while opening the door. I then wired them up to the courtesy lights inside the doors. Over time though it seems the protective coating on the LED's has dried up and let water in so I'm replacing all the lights in the spring once I take the car out of storage.

Yep that looks like the ones. Except the ones I got were cut into 2" lenghts already and pre-wired. The replacements I have here are in a strip though.

So the rounded covering came apart, huh? So much for weather proof! Those can be cut every two inches, and linked end to end as needed. They seem nice, I have plans for mine indoors (details coming to a thread near you possibly sometime maybe in the future by chance).

Yeah it's like it dried out from UV exposure, but there's very little UV rays that actually get to those areas. IDK, we'll see if they are still working once I pull the car out in a few weeks. When I put it away the mirror lights had stopped working along with a few door handles.

Did you re-dye the seats? If so...Leatherique?

And, where'd you get the chrome cap for the shifter?

Whereabouts are you in the Sud...I visit friends in Copper Cliff usually a few times per summer.

Damn...the roads in Sudbury are sure hard on suspension.

Looking good man!

Cheers, Rick.

Hi Rick,

The seats were painted a few time with an SEM product called Classic Coat.

The chrome shifter came out of a 2001 300M, they are very hard to find.

I'm now back in Sturgeon Falls, I use to live in Valley East when I was there. I also use to work in Copper Cliff until last December.

And yes the roads in Sudbury are atrociousness! I'm always replacing some sort of suspension component on my cars!

Thanks,
Steph

There should be a how-to on it somewhere, I know the 300M Club has one in the members section. You need to bassicaly take out the window rubber seal and remove a bunch of screws for it to come out. It's not something that's easy to explain.
