Just want to say Hi and get my feet wet!
I live in Canada and have a 2003 "Chrysler" Intrepid 3.5 liter
Bought it new, and have 57000kms (35000miles) trouble free
I've just recently developed a problem and would like some advice on how and where to ask for help before I start changing parts

I wasn't sure if this was the right place to ask.
I'm getting the P0340 trouble code intermittently (it will come on, then disappear after a number of starts)
I've checked the camshaft position sensor connector and find no corrosion.
The motor runs fine even when engine light is on.
I'm wondering if there is anything else to look at before installing a new "cps" ?

Update on camshaft position sensor code P0340
To anyone interested, I was preparing to install a new cps in my Intrepid and uncovered a badly corroded ground strap that was not readily visible until removing the air filter box and intake ducts.
This strap is fastened to the head and block (pass side) and over to the body just below the remote neg. batt. terminal.
It was absolutely green and turned to powder when I pinched it!
The car has been running perfectly for 3 days now (holding my breath) with no trouble codes!
