Where Does One Begin
As i've said before I bought a 97 LHS. It has around 168,000 miles on it I'm looking to keep it for a while. I'm going to assume that nothing proper was done to maintain it. I've put in a new radiator and trans cooler in it. I've kept up with oil changes and flushed the trans. Other than that nothing has changed since I bought it where should I begin for maintinence. Please keep in mind that i don't have much money, I'm lookin for small things at first (under $100). Thanx for any help

Not to freak you out, I had a 97' LHS, 3.5....and had to put a ton of cash into it and I never hit 100K. Don't think that there is much that has to do with that car that is cheap.

I'm not trying to be mean, just sharing my experience. If it makes you feel better. I traded it in, lost my ass for a Diamante that was even worse. And the damn Mitsubishi was brand new!

Just keep up on the fluid maintenance. It's kept mine alive for 15 years so far. Still runs like a champ with many original parts. Starter, alt, axles, all original equipment. AC, ABS all the power accessories still work.
Sounds like you already did the coolant but don't neglect the brake fluid, differential fluid trans fluid and filter.
Throw a timing belt and water pump in it every 100,000kms.

Why would you think its a Katrina car?
Now, as compared to before buying it?
