I know most people on here don't like it, but...
Well about a month ago I was in the 2007 Lincoln MKZ that's supposed to be mine next year (probably won't get it until I finish college and get in the air force though -.-) Well I was on Highway 72 in between Athens and Madison in Alabama and was going 70 in a 60, ya know, nothing special, just 10 mph over. Well this guy in a Honda Civic (that's slammed with stretched tires mind you so it kinda was smart to pull ahead of him before his tires decide to give out and blow) pulls up beside me and cruises for a minute. And just so everyone knows, where I was it was straight, and dry. Also 2 am so no one was on the streets. Well he decides he's gonna try and drop it into low and floor it so that I could hear his rice cannon, so I decide just to stay beside him at around half throttle, at around 90 I let him get his nose infront of me then I floored it, within a few seconds I was already going 120 and 3 car lengths ahead of him.
I really wish I knew exactly how fast this car will go, but I don't push it mush past 120 ever (which is where the speedo stops) because the one time I did push that hard I almost lost it, but put it this way, that car is a 3,5 v6 with a 6 speed auto trans, and hits 120 easily in 4th with about 15000 rpm to go until it shifts..... I really needa find a cheap dyno around here. But I thought I'd share this little story.
On another note, I still love when civics try to mess with the trep on the interstate, because even though she's limited at 108, she has more than enough acceleration to piss them off xD
Please don't flame me too much for this, just thought I'd share. Also if anyone knows of any places with a moderately priced dyno in the North Alabama/South Tennessee area, let me know, because I really wanna get some specs on that MKZ.... IT's the FWD one, not AWD (sadly) and I've gotten from 42 miles away in 17 minutes before (that's the time I almost lost it and drove around 100-120 the rest of the way and even went 40 in one area for about 2-3 minutes because there is always cops in that area and again that was at 2 am too and only other car that I saw the whole time) Also that was about 2 years ago when I was only 17 and a lot dumber, and not as good a driver, I don't do stuff like that much anymore, only occasionally like with the a fore mentioned Civic, plus I had an adrenaline rush already because I'd just gotten another tattoo so I wasn't completely in a sane mind xD

Also here is a picture of the car. I did this all in the dark room, I'm in photogrpahy at my college, and used 400 iso ilford hp5 film. This is a long exposure at the scenic overlook on Monte Sano mountain if anyone knows where that is. The camera was a Pentax P30T and if I remember correctly I used a 50mm Ricoh lense with a 2x extension tube.

My mom used to have a 2008 MKZ and for being an 'old mans sedan' they can really haul. They are putting down 263 ponies and are then hooked up to that 6-speed automatic and just flooring it in that car was fun as hell. Too bad the guys at the dealership were jerks and wouldn't fix her car even though it was still under warrenty. So in the end she traded it in on a new 300.

I just dont understand the whole budget import tuner crowd. I don't get how any one in a civic can be "cool" It's just... not. I'll admit to bieng mean to them on a regular basis on the highway lol.

Well...don't think you can go much faster than the ~120 you already did (not to mention most Domestic speedos are off by as much as 10mph at the top end
