The front bumper isn't terribly hard to remove - you might try removing the bumper then looking from the back as to why your screws won't come out. The thread style isn't one that is terribly likely to strip - sure, you can over tighten and it will strip, but removing them they should almost always grab SOMETHING and begin to back out as long as you aren't pushing too hard. From the back side you should be able to push on the screw while trying to unscrew from the front.

Wet sanding will give you the best clarity you can achieve.

See, I want a mod to make the FACTORY headlight switch turn on the fogs w/ just park lamps.

Kid - look in the how-to section for the fog light mod - it is discussed there I'm sure. You end up having to take apart the switch and removing part of the cam on the mechanism. Seemed simple enough IIRC.
