Well I really didn't expect an improvement after pulling the cable with the new mount, I honestly thought that would be a slim chance of doing anything, and so I was surprised by the results. But like you said, the main thing is that it worked for whatever reason.

I will say the Trans Mount can look okay by itself, with no visible rips in the rubber but still be bad. When I replaced my Trans mount recently with the poly one I had to jack the trans up almost an inch for the new one to fit. The mount had sagged alot to the point it was resting on the bottom. Which was the biggest cause of the clunk when I had that outrageous shifting Prowler TCM in the car.

well after 7 days of drying i finally put in the new mount and the old one was what you could call in need of replacement anyway heres some pics of the old/new i used the 3m window weld in 3 layers on top and 4 on bottom, i wanted to make sure to give it the slight movement to absorb the shock and put a thick beam across the bottom to ensure it didnt sag which is what looks like happened to the old one till it finally ripped off.

oh yea big time aha the inside of the cabin used to vibrate more and more as RPM climbed now its smoother then ive ever drove it, and now i can put her in 1st and play around without the trans clunking back and forth, GAS, BREAK, DIP!!! aha i know its bad and could likly break god knows how many diff parts of the car but i gotta have my fun as a teen while it lasts

edit: forgot why i changed it in the first place aha it fixxed the problem i had with when taking off the pedal to rapidly or pushing to rapidly the car would clunk around and sounded like the trans was about to just drop right out

Lol.. nice job on the mount btw, you probably don't have too much vibration with that set-up?

It seems like the initial noise and vibration I had has settled down quite a bit, either that or I got used to it. I think the heat from the trans. curing the inside of the polyurethane may have changed the feel as it aged.

I just took a look at mine today and sadly it's all split apart and looking pretty bad. Still sort of doing its job, but looks like I'm going to have to go with a new dealer mount.

Please take a look and report back. My new mount was just delivered yesterday but I haven't bought the windo weld yet and won't if you are having issues.

Just checked it out and mine is all good id say just make sure to take the time to let it dry and do layers, like I said I was giving it quite a stress test the first few days and still the bottom support bead (what would be weakest park of my design) held strong as I was tugging on it when I just checked it

Just replaced mine and i was surprised at the visible condition showing no wear but with the weight of the trans on it it was smashed down as far as it would go.

After it was removed i had to jack the trans up over an inch to fit the new one in.
