Up for sale is a 1 family owned 1998 Dodge Intrepid. Bought new off the lot by my mother, then passed down to my brother when she was ready for a new car. He drove it up until a few months ago when the suspension gave out and he felt it wasn't worth dumping a bunch of money into. It has some rust and the rear passenger side door has damage from an accident. There currently is no muffler on the car, as he was running an aftermarket one and took that off when he stopped driving it. Same for the intake, although i may have one off my 2002 that i could throw in. Has 17" Charger steel wheels/hubcaps/tires that were take-offs bought locally on Ebay. The leather interior has seen better days, but still perfectly useable. Has the overhead EVIC. Has sat for a couple of months, so the interior is dusty and in need of a good cleaning. 3.2L V6 starts and runs well, although it needs a battery, as it had to be jump started today when we picked it up on the trailer. Ran fine after that and drove under its own power up on to the Uhaul trailer. No major issues to report. Would be a great car for someone to buy for a 3.2 rebuild and swap, or just someone who wants to break the car and part it out for some extra money. This car came loaded and it is just too nice to have it picked up for scrap. Figured someone might be interested, especially since some of the hardcore rebuild guys are in the Toledo area...which is only about an hour from where the car was taken today. It's currently in Chelsea, MI.

Brake lines and underside rusted bad?

I didn't get under the car when it was up on the trailer but it's been in the city for the last several years so the bottom side should still be in good shape. Brakes never gave us any problems, it's just the suspension that's in rough shape. Car's not far from you, pretty much a straight shot down M-52 if you're interested in taking a look at the car. Can the car be driven? If i get it and put plates on her would she have any problems driving it back to my house? MI to NJ?

The engine and trans would have no issues with that drive, but the suspension is far from ready. We trailered it from Detroit to Chelsea, which is only about an hour drive. The struts and shocks are toast, so the ride is very floaty, as the car is riding on the springs.
Trailering the car would be the only way i recommend taking it away. It will test drive at slower speeds, and it did drive right up on the trailer when we picked it up and dropped it off.
