i now have a 99 intrepid that had a 2.7 that i swapped out for the 3.5 ho from a 01 300m, i work for a tow company and am curious, will a 3.5 motor from a 09 300 fit into my car or what mods would i have to do to get it to work? thanks

Nope - motors from the LX family will not work (05+ model years)... Different sensors, harnesses and computers.

To get it to work would involve basically taking *all* electrical innards from the donor and try to retrofit into your LH. It's been discussed before - and while it might be possible, would be a labor of love and not be cheap.

I haven't given up on mine yet. Just put it on a back shelf for awhile. However, I'm a bit closer than you are by swapping an '05 LX 3.5 into my '04 LH which already had a 3.5.

Aside from the differences in controllers NGCIII CAN bus vs NGC PCI bus which is all similar between my engines, you will probably have to change the cams and the cam gears along with the flex plate just to get it to fire.

cant push the 01 sensors into the 09 motor?? to use the existing harness?

probably other mechanical differances too.. i doubt the stub from the motor would lineup with the torque converter or the motor mounts to the tranny are all different.
