I wouldnt look at this as so much as a loss as it is a win. A $350 HO? Even with the conversion parts, you still save around 400-500 bucks. A conversion isnt that hard. Buy Daytreppers manual. He walks you through everything you need to know. I would trust the guy with any of my cars with any problem.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Going to the yard is always a riot. Last time I was there pulling some stuff off a 2000 I got to hear a conversation that I could have done without:
Guy 1: So yeah dog, I just do this stuff for fun yo. I'm not here pulling parts for no profit!
Guy 2: Oh really?
Guy 1: Ya man, when I'm not playing with my cars I'm working out.
Guy 2: How much you pushing?
Guy 1: Uh.....Uh....624. *Pauses* But I only do it 5 times though.
Guy 2: Dang, how much you squat?
Guy 1: Bout a thousand. Ya, my legs are really strong man!
I look up, see that Guy 1 is about 190 lbs soaking wet, see the puzzled look on Guy #2's face, shake my head and continue to work on the car. True story.

This post is more deserving of a "cool story bro" than any post I've seen in ages. LOL.

Should be able to find all that at a local pick and pull, but bring a set of headphones. Don't go to a yard unprepared like I did.

Lmfao...
Sorry to hear about your luck buddy, it's a PITA but damn, that motor looks freaking new from behind! Did they clean it or rebuild it or something prior to sale? Every Dodge aluminum motor I've seen is oxidized somewhat or (in junk yard cases) a lot.
