I didn't know that I was 25 LOL! I thought that the logo change with the onset of XP about 1Ø-12 years ago? (I remember Windows 98 had the different Logo.)

All of Win 8 requires a product key before install. That includes the pre-release versions as well. The RTM (Release To Manufacturing) requires a product key before it'll even let you install it.
