Any Central FL peeps up for a mini-micro-meet in the next month and a half? Will have to return to Tampa for at least one and most likely a 2nd trip for OJT and formal training. Weekends would be free so I could zip over to Orlando or Daytona, etc.

I'm sitting in the hotel in Little Rock catching up on company paperwork. A couple more hours overtime today! 385 miles from Birmingham to Little Rock one way at 52.5 cents/mile! w00t!

Thanks! Can't wait for that first fat paycheck to be deposited. Not to mention the expenses for this week which will be several hunderd buckeroos!

Just about done with printing out details for the apartment search for the next few days. Google maps with their street images is a good tool. With the street images I can check the parking lots of the potential apartment candidates. If I see any ghetto rides or an abnormal amount of beater cars...I can just cross them off the list! Trying to keep the the price range high enough to weed out the ghetto apartments ahead of time!

Got my little office setup here in the Extended Stay hotel. Prices on monochrome laser printers have dropped like a rock. There was a Brother mono laser with WiFi on sale at Office Depot for $99. Picked one up along with a ream of paper and have been printing out details/floor plans for apartments all afternoon long. Already had a USB A-B cable in my laptop bag so I didn't get hit for $16.95 for one those!

I'm shocked how cheap good multi color multi function machines are. Konica Minolta makes a really nice machine fire only 250.

I bought an HP color LaserJet MFC with FAX a couple of years ago for $299 on sale which was a good deal then. It's never had a hiccup yet. Downside the price of the toner cartridges...4x @ $80 ea! And they last only like 900 pages.
I bought this mono because it was cheap and it's only a printer. No other functions. But it does have a Duplexer which is getting impossible to find in cheaper printers. The standard toner cartridge costs $45 and is good for 1200 pages. The high capacity toner cartridge is $65 and good for 2600 pages. Connectivity is USB/LAN/WiFi. If someone prints quit a bit and only needs mono I recommend this puppy. You won't get raped in the azz like an inkjet!
Besides....I might get the new employer to pay for it!

I'll have some battery rundown statistics/times for you next week when I get home. So far I'm impressed with the standard 6 cell at 2 hours+. Especially for the price. How long it lasts is another story though.
