So it is that much better even including you not having a touch screen? It was kinda my impression that with out a touch screen, windows 8 was kinda un-needed?

No touch screen but still LOVE IT, the more I use it the more I love it!!! LOL I'll snag some screenshots of things like the "Picture password" feature.

been using win8 pro upgrade since fri afternoon. fist time with this OS never used the preview or others before that. lost my gadgets that i had on rh side of screen when running win 7 pro. going to wait to see if they have some similar items out there to replace them that can be put on the start screen. tried putting winzip 16.5 back on my comp but saying error. going to try new d/l of the prog in case other was corrupted. could also be that just os different that not running right on it
