How to fix the Ugly Wiper Arm Disease.
Pretty Self Explanitory, but a super cheap fix .
Before:
DRIVER:

PASSENGER:
•Remove Wiper Arms from Vehicle
•Remove Washer Hoses from Arms*
•Using an old piece of Rope/Bike Cable, hold arm upright, WITHOUT THE USE OF YOUR HANDS.
•Use black(or any other color you choose) spray-paint (Yes I used a rattle can for the first time)
•Paint the entire wiper arm.
• Allow to dry
•Re-Install Wiper arm+washer tubing to vehicle
•Re-Install Wiper blade to vehicle
•Try Wiper/Washer Functions
•Enjoy!

It'll work for a while, but unfortunately the design on both generations of LH cars for the wiper arms sucks in this regard. The hinge isn't a removable joint, and any painting you do there will eventually chip away from that spot.
Hitting it with some paint like you did is our best option short of new parts or a custom rebuild (drill out hinge, use new fasteners) though, so I don't mean to crap your project. It looks so much better. Mine is going to need something done soon.

2nd gens also have a different type of arm which tends to corrode under the finish. After it starts, it's indeed ugly and the only fix I know of is to "remove and replace"

I've done 5 sets now, the first set I did I sandblasted first and it didn't hold up any better than the others....LOL
Cheap and easy spruce up and makes the car look so much better!

Yeah, the car doesn't look as bad with the "fix" but I sort of like it. (I used spray paint for the first time in my life)

Congrats Ham! How much did you get on you? You know, you're going to have to document some of your 'firsts' with pictures of the process...

Actually, I didn't get ANY on me, only the wipers and the old bike cable (which I had planned to have paint on it, with it holding the arms while I painted them). I actually got approval from my dad (a rare occurrence!)
