Just starting putting back together the 2.7 but forgot the location of the two ground wires on connected to the coil wires. Tore the car apart then family troubles and now finally i get to put it together before i deploy. Just got done the timing chain and replacing bent valves. Just need to know about the back side connections and i will be done.

Are you talking about the single flat black connectors in the coil harness?

yes there is one on each side. I know they are for the ground. I could just put them anywhere but would rather they go in the right spot. I use mitchell at work but it does not tell me where they go. Just wiring diagrams is all i get.

The coils "ground plates" secure to the head and block. You should see a place for a bolt on the head and block, usually the same location a ground to the body as well. It's more or less like a chain if you get what I mean.

In short, look on the side of the motor, just under the valve cover.

I just placed the two wires in the same spot as the ground wire that runs to the bosy and frame. Thanks. Got here running with no issues. Kept hearing of people having starting problems after doing timing chain, oil pum and complete head rebuild. She runs great, now need more money for a better battery and a oil pressure sensor...

Awesome, did the engine make a racket when you started it up? Most WP/TC jobs I've seen the first start up sounds horrible for a few moments as everything lubricates and the tensioner tightens up.

My advice, do that oil pressure sensor now, even get a cheap aftermarket one for the time being if need be. Mine failed without warning, and let the entire oil capacity out onto the road, while driving on the highway. I continued to drive it for sometime without knowing. Noticed it on a routine oil check to see no oil, my 2.7 started knocking on warm start ups not too long after.

Nope no Loud noises. I lubed the camshafts and caps with a lot of oil while putting it together
