i have one in my office gaming/tech station pc, a sata II ocz 120gb vetex plus(indillux controller)
and my laptop has a 60gb sata III ocz solid 3(sandforce controller) drive

it kicks the old computers in the pants with sudden speed. windows loads a bit faster to alot faster depending on your setup, and programs launch almost instantly, even while running other programs, browsers respond faster, better, launch instantly. updates run faster.

if u have a spare 70$-200$ i recommend looking at one.

these drives are known for sudden failure, dont store your family photos on them, dslave in your old drive, or etc for data/movies/whatnot storage. my office machine has a 2tb slaved in for thoes needs.

im posting this as we speak because ive installed 5 of these drives lately for customers / me and am pricing for one more for my home gaming computer.

Yeah, one of my friends wants me to convert his laptop to SSD, but that doesn't appear to be even remotely possible (HP Pavillion dv6000 w/SATA)

I bought a small laptop which was near netbook in size. Took out the 320gb conventional disk and put in a 120gb SSD. Upped the memory to 4gb and have had a blast with it at work. Chrysler's WiTech diagnostic system runs without a hitch.

I also highly recommend one of these if getting things done quickly is part of your needs.

Yeah, considering the connector is mounted directly on the board, probably not a possibility.

Unfortunately, unless you have the hardware as well, the software would be useless. Witech uses a wireless pod that connects to the data link connector. Also, the system has a monitor which requires an internet connection to Chrysler to run. This description is greatly oversimplified but, you would almost need to be a Chrysler agent to use it. There is the Tech-authority agents but, again it's licensed stuff. Chrysler has gone to great lengths to assure their precious software doesn't get used by peeps who don't hold a license.

Even the download process is under lock and key!
