Hi all.

I just acquired a1995 Eagle Vision with a 3.3. The only thing that was supposed to be wrong with it was an over charging issue. Well was I fooled!

Got it home and started it then it died. Will not restart, No Spark.

I started to do a Key Dance to check for codes and nothing. When I turn the ignition on, all the lights light in the dash except for the check engine light. Thinking it may be a bad bulb, I pulled the dash and ohms checked the bulb out of the dash. All is good.Reinstalled, still no check engine light with just the ignition on. It did flash real quick once. Can't do a key dance LOL.

Ideas?

How do you know you are not getting spark?

These are the most common no start issues I have run into:

Swap the Auto Shutdown relay with one of the others like the lights and see if it works.

Open the trunk and listen for the fuel pump while someone else turns the key, you should hear the fuel pump start.

Next try the crank position sensor then the cam sensor.

I found and repaired the problem. The check engine light not coming on with the ignition switch in run should have been my first clue. I borrowed an ECM diagram and started checking power. B+ was present at the ASD relay. No Momentary B+ at the coil pack when ignition first turned on. The main power wire at the computer, Red/White Pin 3, did not have B+. Tried to locate the break and after a bit decided to run a new fused B+ source. All is well runs great!

To answer GTKEN, I have a spark tool, that is how I knew there was not any spark.
