Hello. Today I replaced the front brake system on my 1997 Dodge intrepid sport. It has the disc's on front drums on back. Now for some reason the rear drums have locked up on me. Which is weird as I did not even take the tires off of the rear, has this happened to others before? what is wrong with my car? already bleed the front brakes.

what do you mean? never touched the parking brake, it is off as far as I can tell.

If you open the bleeder on the rear, do the drums free up?

If they snap off, you'll have to replace the rear wheel cylinders.

When you say locked up do you mean you can't get them off or they will not turn!

Id crawl under there, and open the bleeder and see if the release,, if they do,, then hit the brake pedal a few times, and see if they lick up again,, if so,, loosen the line to the rear brakes at the Master cyl,, again,, if they spin free,, something happened to the master

they are doing both, though I did get one off, looks like the drums will need to be rebuilt, pads where non existent, chewed up inside of drum, couple of the springs had broken which lead to pads being fully pressed against drum, took a few hours and banging on it with a rubber mallet to finally get the first one off. On to the second one which will prbably be the same. One brake pad has a chunk of metal missing.
