So its been a year since I swapped out the garbage Monroe mounts for used OEMs that I repainted and greased, plus the superior OEM bellows and bumpers. No problems at all.
My advice (like many have said before): buy front Quick Struts at a good price to get the struts and insulators (which are pretty pricy by themselves) and the rest use OEM new or used if in good condition.
The back struts I installed last year are fine, although the car rides higher out back than OEM. Still, they were priced well and unlike the fronts, there's no major issues with the rear Quick Struts.
The only thing dependable about the future is uncertainty.
I wish I had found this thread a bit sooner......
My drivers side front spring thingy broke today, and was riding on the tire.
So called napa and they said they had a quick strut, I was like yeah!!!! then I read this thread, and was like nooooo....
