Hey guys-
I bought a 97 Concorde LX with a 3.5l to enter in to an enduro race. I cut the muffler off the back, but its still pathetically quiet. If i cut the cats off, it should be nice and loud.

Im nervous to do this though, because if the O2 sensors/cats aren't in tact, will the air/fuel mixture be wrong and make the car run like crap?

Do I have any options to liven the noise up and keep it running right?

Keep the Cats. They do help with low down TQ. Also helps keep the OBD II happy as well.

I guess i will have to get something with a v8 for the next enduro to rumble with the rest

Unless someone has another suggestion to make it sound louder, even it it sounds kinda crappy. Is there a resonator or something I can remove? all i cut off was the tail pipe so far
