Will a 2000-2004 Concorde cluster with the black gauges/chrome rings fit a 1998-1999 Concorde cluster? I'm asking this question for a person that owns a 1998 Concorde with the plain guages and wants to get a newer style Concorde cluster with the black/chrome gauges. The some of the wires/connections are in different locations...

Should interchange with no problems. Not sure what you're referring to on the connectors being different. The connectors are the two white rectangular ones oriented vertically near each end on the lower part of the cluster. The holes in the backing are irrelevant.

The 98-99 cluster has 2 plugs/harnesses (one on the left in the mid-backside of the cluster - the other on the right side of the left connector). The 2000-02 cluster has one plug on the bottom in the mid-backside of the cluster. Maybe it's just set up differently and doesn't matter. But have to make sure.

All of the LH (1998 - 2004, 300m, Concorde and Intrepid) clusters plug in the
same way. There are only two connectors. One on the right and one on the left.

There can be issues with warning lights. For example, if you take a cluster from
and ABS car and plug it into a car without ABS, you will get an ABS warning light.

In this case, where you want to plug an 02+ cluster into a 98, you might get an
airbag warning light and/or other warning lights because of wiring changes made
by Chrysler in late 2001.

Is there anything I can do to not have a the Airbag light on? Or would I just have to get a 2000, 2001 cluster?

If it were me and the airbag light came on, I would look for an earllier cluster.

I'm not saying the airbag light will come on for sure, just that it might.

This won't addd much to what's already been said, but I have the black faces with chrome ring gages in my '98 LXi - 100% plug-n-play. I don't recall what year the gages came out of - probably an earlier year of those gages. Be sure to get the lens with the new gages - the old one is the wrong shape to fit properly.
