I noticed some drips under the front of the car...the dreaded red fluid.

I searched the net for pics, and crawled under...don't see any rust. I removed the drivers lower turn signal and could see the bottom two clamped hoses...the "j" shaped hose that goes hooks to the external trans cooler that sits in front of the lower corner of the rad, and the lower return hose appear to be seeping. So I managed to tighten the return line 5 or 6 turns with a small wrench...and noted that the "j" shaped hose could be moved if I grabbed and twisted! So I even was able to push it farther on the nipple and tighten it 5 or 6 good turns.

Is this a common leak for this car?

I recently had one that I installed 2 clamps on to get it to stop leaking. Watch for the steel line to rubber hose where they are crimped together, often weep there. Only fix is new lines from the dealer...

Mine have been leaking for 5 yrs, plan on replacing them this spring.

I had a leak there (lower hose) when I got my car. Fortunately, just replacing the clamp has worked for the past year.
