Your speakers are labeled Infinity? I was under the impression that the Infinity systems weren't the kick panel amp ones - but I'm not an expert.

I'll dig around and see if I still have the original speakers, but the amp says Infinity.
I bypassed the amp, which doesn't have enough power for the tweeters, and the whine is still there. I noticed, with the trunk open, that I wasn't hearing a whine. I found the whine coming from the driver side rear seat area, which explains why it was only coming from the rear. I'm starting to think the whine is something else.

Drive around with the power totally off (on the HU) then if you think it might not be the speaker. That should answer the question pretty fast.

I discovered it when I had the speakers disconnected from the amp; no sound. I'm going to put the rear seats in and see if I still hear the whine. Maybe it's the fuel pump I'm hearing?

When everything was unplugged, you didn't hear a whine?
But you think it could be something else?

I see how my last post confused you. When I had the speakers disconnected from the amp (ie no sound going to speakers) the whine was still there.

Ah - yes - then it could be the fuel pump you hear...
Run the sound system with the car running till you hear the whine - then turn the key back from "RUN" to "Acc"... See if the sound stops.
The fuel pump is right under the back of the floor, where the sheet metal bends upward to form the trunk, under/behind the seat.
