Anyone else LEAK OIL???
I have had my 02 since 02 and now I am having that oil leak problem that I heard can be symptomatic in these cars :( I just got an oil change 3 weeks ago and already my oil light is on! I checked the amount and it was virtually empty?? So I added two quarts and two days later...POOF! Gone again...someone PLEASE help!!
Did/does anyone have this issue? And if so...What did you do to fix it??
Thanks - TG

Check your oil pan gasket. I had mine on my 2.7 replaced twice.

With this kind of oil leak, you would be able to see it. So look around. Is the car smoking alot (blue smoke)? That would mean it's burning oil.

If you live up north, that's just water vapor.
What engine do you have? The 2.7's are known for the rear main leaking and the oil pan gasket leaking.

2 qts over 2 days is massive... so make sure you take care of this problem immediately...

when I had the oil pan gasket leak, it was a quick leak, but even then I didn't see any on the ground. These pan gaskets are like 2 gaskets. Sounds like a strong possibility. If your engine was burning 2 qts in 2 days, you would definately smell it and see some smoke coming out of your tail pipe. Get it checked as soon as you can. Don't want your engine to overheat and warp the heads or something.

ANSWER: went to pep boys over the weekend and it was diagnosed that my OIL SUPPLY LINE was busted...thus the leaking oil after the car was shut off..so it was an $80 dealer part but luckily they had one at Pep Boys for ONLY $8!! Job took half hour so I walked away only having to spend around $65!! Hopefully this helps someone else....happy driving!
