Maybe the 2020 model will do it. Well maybe not the price.
Do you think DC would allow Chrysler to have a better car than a Mercedes?

WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????????
You know, most of your posts just babble on about "want this" or "should have this", but you never say WHY.

Well, there's one less person buying a Chrysler product. No chance the car having half of the things you mentioned.

Then there is no room for mods! I'd never spend $30K on a car to begin with unless it was a used Viper or something. But that is me talking. I won't even buy a new LX when it comes out. I will probably wait until I can get a two year old one with around 25-30,000 miles on it and let some other sucker be stuck with the massive depreciation over the first two years. But again, that's just me.

dare I ask why you wouldn't consider a car unless it has "throttle by wire"
for under $30K you are lucky they don't give you a piece of twine attached to the TB butterfly

I'm not sure I'm comfortable with drive by wire, steer by wire (Mercedes has 3 test car with that, saw it on Motorweek), or brake by wire.

That is true. What if the car goes nuts and the computer dies at 60 MPH? No brakes, no steering, no life.

I f*cking hate flying! I only do it when it is absolutely necessary or someone else pays for it. Otherwise, I will drive 11 hours, no big deal.

A V6 because a V8 doesn't make any power or torque due to its poor firing order L R L L R L R R
A dual exhaust will sound great, anyone heard the Audi AllRoad-kicks ass, works great with Rear axle drive
Throttle by wire will allow for an integrated reponsive powertrain. The transmission decides to downshift about a second after you call for it because the PCM is monitoring the TPS, RPM and the MAP sensors. Also any traction control besides a brake actuated system will require engine control.
Variable valve timing is the key to low emissions high perfomance, and engine refinement.
Low emissions-side benefit of efficient engine.
By 2006 GM and Ford will have their joint venture 6 speed automatic. GM had a prototype transverse 6 speed auto in the Buick Bengal concept of 2 years ago.
Rear Axle drive cars of 75 years ago had 50/50 weight distribution, but too much oversteer due to tires of the same width front and rear. I think it was the Chrysler AirFlow that said that a 55/45 weight distribution helps promote safe understeer. Look a the new BMW Z4 3.0, 225 fronts 255 rear tires, can't oversteer with only 225 hp, but with an M3 engine, it will.

Ever been in a Corvette or a Mustang Cobra? Seem to have plenty of horsepower and tons of low end torque

If Doug Kalitta would figure this out, maybe he stop running that slow ass 4.593 @ 325 mph and win some races in his V-8 MAC Tools dragster.
