I need some help. My drivers side window will not go down. All the other windows will go down from the drivers side control panel, but not the drivers. I can hear it click in the switch ( or I think it is clicking) and I think i can tell a power drain when at idel. Is it the Window moter or switch? help me please.

And Could I fix it? I installed my own factory cd player and remote key system. so I think i have the skills to do it.

Hmmmmm....is the info worth a 12 pack of coors light?? J/K! Sounds like the motor to me... if the rest of your windows go up and down just fine. Is your car still under warranty? If so , take it in and request that they slap in a new motor. I turned mine in last year for a new window motor (the dealer took it out of a R/T). My drivers window still works flawless.

Before you replace the motor... first try pounding on the glass near the top to unstick the glass from the rubber seal. If you can bust it free, then clean the ridge of "gunk" that forms at the top of the glass from the seal. My window sticks often, and this has always been the problem.

Yeah, whats uyp with that gunk? I clean my windows inside and out, roll em' down for the neighborhood to hear my tunes, and on the top of them ,I see this blank crap.

my 98 does the same thing.. has for a couple years. Try hammering on the driver side switch.. Flip it up and down a lot real hard and it may eventually come on down. Mine will stick from time to time and after about five or six times it will work for another month or two.

had the same thing happen to my car. turned out to be the motor. thought it might of been sticking but my car was in the shop for something else and the technician noticed it and replaced it since it was covered under the warranty. hasnt happend since so i figured that it was the motor and wasnt sticking at all.

Front Passenger Side window, goes down just fine but doesn't want to come back up. Also if the Headlights are on you hit the switch either from the driver or passenger side the light on the passenger side switch gets very dim. Now the dam thing works perfectly. Thoughts?
