started off as just overheating until coolant began leaking from everywhere
bought a new canister and bleed valve, checked all the hoses, still havent checked the radiator, thats on the agenda MondAy.
last time i "fixed it" there was no coolant reaching the motor. nothing but steam cane out the bleed valve. but the radiator was cool, which led me to believe that the radiator might be messed up. i just dont know
Every time i would fix something, i'd get a day or two of service out the car before it started acting up again. im concerned about the possibility of a gasket being warped or cracked but there is still no water in the oil. not a drop.
last night it began to feel sluggish during acceleration. i'd like to think that the catalytic converter is clogged and that may be the issue, but im a pessimist so im leaning towards the gasket. has anyone encountered a similar situation? it seems as if the intrepid is prone to these types of malfunctions. does anyone know what the actual cause may be? any and all help would be greatly appreciated

I definately would take a look at the radiator. Just pull it and I would try running water through it with a hose or something. See if it flows. Could probably even run water through the block too to see if it comes out.

As far as the sluggish part, I would give a shot at trying to clean or replace the Idle Air Controller. I have had it happen in my old jeep would have a hard time getting going and would stall sometimes until it was warmed up. On the intrepid it is located on the top plenum towards the back. It should be basically the only sensor there and is held in my two bolts. Also it won't show a code at all if it is sticking. I would start with that and go from there.

first, try filling it cold with the bleed valve open,, untill coolant runs out with no bubbles, if you try to do it with the car running , too big of a chance of keeping air in the system, second,, if it seems like the coolant is not reaching the engine,, id suspect thermostat , or waterpump, why water pump?? well, its ran by the timing belt,, it can get stiff to turn, and slip on the belt,, thus reducing coolant flow.
