idle skect coorect?
i am wondering if this is the correct sketch for the 2.7... bcause the onlyway i could find to fit perfeclty was to put the bushing in the back of the pulley and washer in front. this is the only way i found to match perfectly ... but this sketch tell me another story lol...
found this other sketch now i am confused ...hope can some 1 can check tell me how it really goes ... have a 2 hour trip on saturday... i want to be on the safe side taking family out....
heres another 1 but i can't really see ...

Looks like they all 3 show the same thing: Washer in back, then pulley, then the stepped bushing (that comes new with the pulley), then the nut.
If the belt is not hanging over either edge of the pulley, it shouldn't be a problem. The thickness of whatever is on the backside of the pulley determines where the pulley ends up front-to-back. If you stack it as shown and the belt hangs over an edge, something's wrong in alignment of one pulley or another.

When i do the samething as the picture the idler pulley is the only pulley the does not look align with the other poulleys

Is it tilted, or is it too far forward or too far back? I'll have to take a look at mine to see if it's perfectly centered or not. But, again, if the edges of the belt aren't off the pulley to one side or the other, it's nothing to worry about. Of course the pulley is not symmetrical anyway - one edge is sharp, the other is rounded - so what would be considered centered?
Nothing you've said so far gives me concern.

This is the only way the idle pulley align perfectly with the other pulleys.. would it danage something having the bushing in the back and the washer in front ...??? Peva it will really help me figured this out if some 1 check how thier idler pulley is set up ... thanx for all the help m8.. you always help me out....

That's a lot thicker. You can't be serious that you are putting that on the *front* side of the pulley! If putting the stepped bushing behind the pulley is coming out anywhere close to working, the only thing I can figure is that you have it flipped around backwards and so are not inserting the small end inside the ID of the pulley bearing. That's crazy!
Here are the pictures of my pulley. According to my calibrated eyes, the rear edge of my belt is 3/16" from the edge of the pulley:

Peva mine looks just like urs ... in the picture...you can only see the nut.... my question is what is behind the nut the bushing or the spacer..... any ways can i cuase damage to the pulley....or something .... oooo yes i have the bushing in the back n im putting in side the id....

You've got me curious now. I might have to loosen the nut way out this weeked and see what's on both sides of the pulley.

If the pulley is aligned with the other pulleys, and the belt isn't over the edges of the pulley, and the pulley is free to spin without rubbing something, should be no problem.

Wait m8 dont go hploadin pics you will seee the diffrence ..... if it was rubign against something i would hear a loud noise right? ??
yeah the iudler pullley spin real smooth .... when i had the belt off i spin the pulley n it spiin free ......

this first picture is with the bushing in front and spacer in the back.....
here is nother shot not align with other pulleys having the same setup in the first pic
Now this picture is with spacer in front and bushing in the back.. and it looks align with other pulleys and belt sits perfectly in the middle..
