Also, the red lock must have the original protruding end exactly flush with the plug body channel. IOW, it must be moved until it just makes it flush with the bracket. If you go past that spot, it will make squeezing the secondary latch very difficult, if not, impossible. You can also take the red lock all the way out if you want to. Usually it won't be damaged by doing this. Be sure to re-lock it when you are done.
