the engine gets to operating temp and lines to heater core are hot so it has to be in dash is there anyway to manually fix problem i think door aint opening to let heat out or maybe im wrong any ideas

i found a post on how to do a diag on system i had car running ,blowermotor on,temp set to cold,and set on defrost and pressed and held rear def button got a chime but no ac00 on odom display and ac light didnt flash the light on rear def came on so i know it works. can some one help me im doing this for mother in law she has to take small kids to school 5 miles away and its cold

Could be the blend door actuator on the bottom center of the heater box. Remove it, and you can manually move the door to the hot position. Once there, if you have heat, you need a new actuator.

do u have to replace actuater i removed actuater opened door to hot got heat next day car overheated and was blowing cold. pressed on gas pedal as motor revved started blowing hot again gotta be waterpump or does that actuater control something i dont know about
