Maybe you'll get lucky and avoid the stone chips this winter.

Avoid STONE CHIPS? Hell man, I can't avoid shitty drivers. In one week alone, my car got it's mirror yanked off in the work parking lot, and a couple days after that I managed to find a huge skuff almost like someone took 400g sand paper and swirled it around by my gas tank. I have some serious detailing coming up.

Beleive it or not. I have never waxed my car. Its going on almost 2 years and I have never waxed it. I am planning on buying some professional clear coat restorer for the car and hopepfully being able to do something with my bumper which is all chipted up. I really want my car to shine come the next International Meet.

First i'm washing my car with some clorox bathroom cleaner, and a scotch brite pad (the one with the flowers) it really gets rid of the salt good. Then if theres any other remaining crud, i'll bust out the ajax. Man i love that stuff. After i'm done drying it with newspaper (hey my mom uses it for windows, must work good on cars right?) i'm gonna put a coat of future floor wax on it to give it that deep lasting shine. I cant wait! I just hope it all comes off good, I havent washed my car since November 3rd. Should come out good.

If you buy a new car and only wash it by hand with a rag, and never ever use a brush you will never have to wash it.. The only brush my 01 SE had seen was the one i brush my hair with.... And I had it for 5 years and 2 1/2 months and people was always asking me when did i wax my car b/c it looks as if i just had it done....

Yeah, I can not wait for mine too! I am just gonna take it to Dad's job (5 star Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep Delarship) and have them do a professional wash/wax and detail. Cost's $165 but I pay $35!

Different car now, but did the same thing. I just washed her, clay barred everything below the trim on the sides, the front and rear bumper, plus some of the hood, then rubbed her down with cleaner wax. Next is the polish, show car glaze, and polymer sealant. Already vacuumed, just need to shampoo the floormat on the driver's side, and condition the leather. Just turned 28,000 today too.
