Maple Grove is ALL set up!
John Krupiak is our contact.
4:00 PM is the time the gates open.
5:00 PM is the time they start running.
Lanes close at 9:30 and run out from there.
We will have ONE dedicated lane. We will get anywhere from 1 - 3 time runs (Probably 2).
We will get to have our OWN bracket race. I am hoping to make it a 16 car field.
We have to have a lane steward organizing the runs. I guess that will be me. Bye will be determined by BEST reaction time from previous run. Bye WILL be pulled regardless. If bye receipient HAS to run he has lane choice. Otherwise lane choice will be by coin flip. Winners return to lane. Others can continue to run times runs in other lanes.

If there are an odd number of cars someone has a bye run or solo run. There is a very standard specified way of doing that. If I am running the show I will do it the way my track does it.
The lowest RT from the previous round gets it. No one can get it more than once unless everyone has had it.
Here is the part most folks don't understand. The bye gets pulled EVEN if there are an even number of cars. This is done to be fair. If there were an even number in the lanes and you run the bye car what happens when a later car breaks or pulls out? The bye is ALWAYS pulled to the side and the round is completed. If he is paired he runs the last car. If he is unpaired he runs a solo OR elects to sit idle. (He must be able to run to do this - A broken car with the bye can't advance by sitting idle)

Don...
How about lane choice goes by best reaction time of the pair the previous round? Thats how we do it at my track and it seems to work well. Driver with the best reaction time from the previous round for each pair gets the lane choice....I think that would work well, but we'll see ;)

ok, so if we are on the show field on Friday til 6:00pm and then the racing starts at 4:00 pm, how long does it take to get to the race track from the showfield. and is it alright to leave the show field early on friday and that sort of thing. Just kind of curious. I'm thinking about maybe running my car there. I still need to run with Don head to head.

I have been talking to Timbo on this and he claims traffic could make it a 2 hour drive. I figure 90 minutes max. MG opens its gates at 4 PM. I want to be there by 4:15. If we leave Carlisle by 2:30 then we would get to MG between 4:00 and 4:30. We could then get through tech. Have our cars cool down a bit and start time trials at 5:00.

Great t-shirt my buddy wears at the track.
"You lift, you lose."
He has a great souvenir. He has a time slip where he had a .004 package and lost. MOV was 0.0000
That is some serious caca.
