Judging Interest for 3.3 Turbo Setups
Hello everyone, it has been a while since I have been on the page. I have been recently tuning little ricers around town for the extra cash. Primarily custom turbo setups, NOS as well. I remember when I had my treps, I always want to have a few more ponies to throw around. Since this is all coming together I was curious if there was anyone on the board that would like to have a custom setup. I am averaging about $1000 for a packaged job (not installed) on a honda civic, and I think it shouldn't be too much more for a Trep, but that does depend on the route I will take with the system. Feel free to include any ideas, and/or comments. If there is enough interest I will seriously plan out a setup.
This is more of less what will be included:
Garrett Turbocharger. Probably a T3 for stock internals.
Starion/Conquest Front Mount Intercooler
Hard pipes.
Oil Feed lines.
1G DSM BOV
Thanks guys,
Minagera

Of course, the only true way to do it. Two ways to do it.
Make a crossover and have one turbo.
Or
Make a Bi-turbo setup, one off each side. Small turbos like T25 or small trim T3.

My vote is for one off each side...
I'm acctually planning a supercharger install on my car so I wont be in line for your turbo kit however, it would be really sweet bolt on mod. I keep hoping that more and more people start producing parts for these cars.

possibly making a kit up for the 3.5?
How will you fix the fuel/air ratio?
What psi would the kit run at?
U mentioned T25 will those be Ball bearing?
Would we be able to keep our air conditioning?

I agree with the each side, then it could be made to be a direct bolt on kit.

Sorry man, I am not going to touch the 3.5. First of all there is little to no room in that engine bay. Second 10:1 compression. Two things there that I really don't like.
Yes there would be Ball Bearing. And with the bi turbo it would still have AC. Get an AFC for the fuel problem, and a Air Fuel leeched off an O2 sensor.

would removing the stock air box and relocating the battery to the trunk give you enough room?

Right the 3.5 injectors would flow just enough if you want to push about 10 or 12 psi of boost. You might get a little lean on the top though.

It would be enough room, but what about the 10:1 compression, and the flat topped pistons? I mean that engine is built strong, but I haven't heard of many 10:1 engines being turboed.

damn....I used to have a 3.3 and always wanted it turboed. Happens that some twat of a mechanic destroys it and I find this thread with the possibility it being turboed. Oh well I'm stuck with a first gen 3.5 now >(. If you can do anything with the 3.5 I'd be all over it. Thx anyways. Oh and for boost I'd prob want to run like 7 or 8 psi. Not alot but just enough for some extra ponies.

Right, well I don't have a 3.5 trep to fab up. I have a 3.3 avalible.
I am aware of the thread when Mopar decided to try a turbo setup on the 3.3 dynastys for police use, and yes the motor blew apart, but lay off high boost and proper maintainence.
When you turbo a NA car, even 8 psi, you will get about 50-75 ponies.
(edit, for clairty. If you turbo the na 3.5 you will get about 50-75 ponies.)

If anyone is interested let me know. If I don't get any interest I will just stick to making a quick buck off some ricers, and tuning my conquest.
