I am gonna be getting a CIA kit today and possibly installing it as well. Its one of the spectre type kits and was wondering if there are any aftermarket heatshields that anyone would recommend to reduce the occurance of possible heatsoak from the air in the engine compartment.

well, the spectre intake isn't really cold air considering it's still inside the engine compartment, so the only way to truly reduce heatsoak would be to custom fabricate a box for it and keep it seperate from the rest of the engine bay........ but, fior all cheapo intents and purposes, if you really want a heatshield, look near the spectre filters at AZ, there's a cheap-ass palstic one that doesn't really do much, more for looks IMHO
