I installed the Cd Player(Blaupunkt RPD435)

from my Dead 1990 Dodge Dynasty

into my 19Ft Grady White Tournment (sealed into a weather tight container, under one of the dual consoles)

and it works great and sounds decent. But it does not have a constant power source(have both constant and ignition hooked together so it works), because we shut our batterys off when the battery is docked, the presets are lost along with the time and the bass/treble and fader settings. So in pops the idea of hooking a 9 volt battery to the constant power source, do you think this would allow the radio to remember the presets and settings?

A 9 volt battery would keep memory on your radio, but for how long is hard to say. It could cause problems when the main battery is connected depending on if the memory circuit is isolated from the main supply circuit. I think I would look at running a wire to the battery and trying to hook it up in a manor that would let you disconnect the main lead but leave the new lead connected to keep memory.

I hear your issues on that as well, its usually a 12volt feed, so im not sure what a 9v would do for the memory while connected to the constant feed
