Another noob question: where should the temperature fall on the temperature gauge?
Hi all,
Here's another noob question: on a 00 SE 2.7L, where should the temperature read during normal driving? Mine is always between the halfway mark and the mark right below that. Exactly where it is changes... sometimes it's closer to the bottom sometime it's closer to the top.
Thanks,
Yiran

Well I have a 3.2, but that sounds about right as far as temperature range goes. Mine's is usually a little towards the bottom in the winter, and right now it's usually right at the halfway mark.

cool. So an OTIS or EVIC will actually display the ECU's coolant temp reading? That's interesting... Saw couple of OTIS's and an EVIC (on a 300M) in a local yard. Debating on whether or not to grab them (risky since these may have been sitting in the yard for a while).

Mine sits at the notch below the halfway point. Pretty much always. And as far as i know, an EVIC doesn't display coolant temp. It does show the outside air temp.
