Rock chips on my hood, bummed out.

Anyone know of a good touch-up paint for our cars? In Inferno Red?

I have a nice symmetrical set of rock chips in the paint on the hood. Completely knocked off the outer layers, but appears to have left the under-layers in place.

I don't even know when it happened, and I'm the only one who drives my car. It had to sound like a machine gun going off, I know I wasn't playing the radio that damn loud. But there they are.

I'd try your cars color code touch up paint from Mopar...can't be a better match than exact. Also consider a paint protection film because this won't be the last time rocks and paint will meet.

I had the same thing happen. I was driving through the country at 90 mph for about 70 miles, when i looked at my car a few days back the hood was covered in chips. Need to do a retouching in spring, just waiting for a warm day.

You might look into this. I haven't had experience with it, but I think if I need chip repairs I'll consider it. http://www.drcolorchip.com/

I am replacing my hood in the spring. I have some rust underneath. Kind of where the metal bends over in the front.

As for rock chips, I have alot! I touch them up as much as I can.
