Sad Anotherone bites the dust:

RIP 1995 Concorde :( :

Wifey took a curve too fast for road conditions, slid sideways and got hit by a guy coming the other way.

Just did a complete tuneup on the thing too .

Thing was ugly, but ran like a top - sad to see it go this way:

There's a bit of non-accident damage where I started prying the trunk open, the battery cables were snipped by the fire dept.

The kicker of the whole thing - a $285 tow bill !!!

Understeer? Got hit on the passenger side, so I'd assume it slid far enough into the other lane that oncoming traffic passed on the wrong side of the road?

Well, better she smoke the old POS Concorde than my Cougar - can be seen inside the garage in the one pic. But now the Mark8 will have to be figured out and fixed so she can drive it - but there's no winter tires on it.

Yep, she's OK - a bit stiff, to be expected. The Concorde is about the smallest sized car I'm willing to own for general transportation. Our next car will be a Grand Marquis, they can be bought dirt cheap because everybody is scared of the bad (20+mpg) fuel milage.

But NO amount of fuel savings is worth driving a small car and being in an accident with it. Big cars hold up better in crashes. Cars with frames AND a unit-body on top of that frame hold up even better.

Understeer - probably, I'm not sure where she wrecked it, but it was in a curve she said - that street is curvy and hilly, alot of fenderbenders on it in bad weather. Sucks that she couldn't slow down just a little bit and ride out the rest of winter....

About the Bimmer - it's a bigger POS than the Concorde ! It just looks prettier .
