Sunroof question for 2004 Chrysler Intrepid.

Perhaps someone who is more familar with these cars can help me answer this question about the sunroof on my 2004 Chrysler Intrepid.

To open the sunroof I hit and hold the open button (which is just and arrow) and the roof opens all the way. When I try to close the sunroof it is a pain to get it to close right. I I hold the arrow to long then the vent opens in the back and water gets in. If I do not hold it long enough than there is a gap in the front and water will get in there.

It is tough to get it to close just right. Am I missing something or is that the way that it is suppossed to be?

I do not have an arrow on any of my sunroof cars (Treps and 300Ms).
I have three buttons. Open, Close and Vent.

If you do not have these three buttons, I would suggest that you have an
aftermarket sunroof or somebody swapped out the buttons for whatever reason...

Do you have three buttons?
Can you post a photo of what you have?

This link has a photo of factory sunroof buttons

There's actually two versions of Sun Roof switches. The 3 separate buttons should be on 1998-2002 cars. 2003-4 should have a Rocker type switch with a push button in the middle.

Need to get some pictures up of the different switch configurations.

Bill...I find it strange you have the 3 separate button arrangement in a 2004.

3 button setup.....

Here's a comparison of the two different switches I'm talking about side by side.

Cover on the left should be 2003-2004 version.

As always I could be wrong and way off base!

I have the rocker switch.
I misunderstood what he said and tend to think of mine as three switches. Small center switch, and the rocker, open and close.

Holy Cow!
That's what the OP meant by "Arrow".
That's the first time I've seen that set up.
Note to self: Pay closer attention while window shopping at the wrecking yard!

Just so you know those different switches have different connectors. They're not directly interchangeable.
