Just was wondering if anyone has seen or heard anything about R!concepts? I was planning on buying a set of pads and rotors from them but now there website is suspended? Any help would be great, or if anyone else has a lead on D/S rotors and pads. Thanks!
The website is still there. They have a screen name on this site if you need to contact them too. I got a set of rotors. Just waiting for them to arrive so I can review them here.
i saw a thread less than a week ago about them and got me looking on ebay for some S/D rotors..can't beat the price but I'm still scared of "ebay quality" so I'll wait for a review.
Although owners seem to be happy with them, I personally avoid them because I use my brakes fairly heavily.
With ANY drilled rotor, you'll be sacrificing two things: surface area, and thermal mass. At any given decceleration rate, you'll be applying higher pad pressure and running at higher rotor temperature.
But in the ends, if you don't do aggressive "canyon runs", or track your car, they should be okay.
:icon_neut i dont get what your saying...all you see on the track and race cars are drilled/slotted rotors? Are you saying they work better but wear quicker?
I love my R1 Concepts rotors and pads. Just got them a few weeks ago. $167 + shipping ($50) for a set of 4 rotors and pads. VERY easy to deal with customer service as well. I had to call to make sure they were sending the larger PHP rotors, and they did.
