Took the Mag for a little trip down to Georgia, S.C & N.C. a couple of weeks ago. Geez, people drive like frickin lunatics on the Interstates. Speed limit was 70 mph in some places and people were still going like 80-85 mph. Forget cruise control unless you want a maniac semi coming up on your rear bumper. Weather was real nice down in Gerogia. Went down ther to check out Ft. Stewart outside of Hinesville, where I was stationed in the Army like 23 years ago. Then I headed over to Savannah. Saw this on River street:
Then headed up to Charleston S.C. stayed there for a couple of days then headed to the outer banks of N.C. On the way back to (upstate) N.Y., got stuck in the D.C. area right around rush hour commute time. Oh what a nightmare! Note to self: avoid the 395 and 270 beltway next time at all costs! Shoulda known better as I was stationed at Arlington in the late 80's for 2-1/2 years. All in all, a good trip. Saw alot of stuff. Now leaving next week to drive down to Nashville, TN. Along the way I'll be stopping in Ohio & Kentucky. What can I say? I like to drive!
