DRL s

Yesterday I went on the 401 and when I got off I noticed teh cars reflection in the tucks tailgate infront of me. My driver side DRL was out and my passenger side was fine. I put on my headlights and high beams and tehy worked fine. I looked and teh fuse was ok so is it wiring? I mean DRLs are just my highs on at a reduced voltage right? so it can't be the bulb since high worked fine.
So any ideas why the one side is out?
By the way this is on a 93 concorde if taht helps

since your housing is 1 bulb, make sure you are not pulling the high beam switch all the way towards you. This will turn on the highs and lows.

Remove the problem bulb and look at the filaments, my bet is the high is burned out.

When you think you are turning on the highs, you are turning on the lows and one high, some cars turn off of set of beams, others dont.

Pull the multifunction switch towards you fully until the light comes on and then let go, you should see the beam in the lights move up if you do this at night. There is no other way for your case to work if the bulb is fine.

Some new hondas have a self test where if a high beam bulb is out or not drawing enough current it will just keep one side on, ie if you replace the bulbs with leds, then only one side works, but thats a whole other reason ... etc. I would replace the bulb.

Self test???

Would that not be the "flash to pass " mode?

so it still has the issue with one side drl not working?

Strange setup you have there. I would pull the DRL module just to get rid of the odd look. DRLS are not generally enforced or so i have seen.

I guess at a safety inspection you would need them.

You're in Ontario? Pull the fuse, and grab an Auto Headlight switch. LinuxGlobal pulled my fuse for me months ago (thanks btw) and I just got the headlight switch. Your DRL bulbs will start to go brown and look like sh*t if you have DRLs connected. No cop in Ontario will pull you over if you don't have DRLs. If you sell the car, pop them back in.

Ya I know they don't bother on DRLs I have had them unhooked on every car I have had. I just hate the look. That and they look really bad with headlight covers lol. anyway were is the module on 1st gens?. Since I can't just pull the fuse since it's tied in with a bunch of other stuff.
