Advise on selling price
Our Intrepid has to go, daughter is starting to drive soon, wants a smaller vehicle with 4-cylinder engine.
So before we offer the vehicle for sale (trade in offers range from $250 to $500), I thought I ask here, maybe someone appreciates it more. We can always sell a car here in Northern Indiana for $1,000, as long as it runs. Yet our car is much better. Maybe someone here is looking for an unmolested one with no issues?
It is a 2001 Dodge Intrepid SE 2.7, dealer said it is 2002 model so water pump issues were already fixed. Car has just a little over 220,000 miles on it, and no issues at all. Drives and shifts great, no issues. We always had it serviced at dealer and/or local shop (all receipts on file). No visible rust, looks good except for the trunk lid were the paint is dull. Color of car is silver outside/black inside.
No leaks nowhere, engine is dry, engine oil (changed every 3,000 miles) is clean.
At around 200,000 miles we had changed the spark plugs and boots, power steering fluid, transmission fluid and a new shifter cable installed. Also some O2 sensors were replaced.
Complete, no cracks anywhere, no missing pieces, no worn seat/pedals/steering wheel. Has some door dings and 2 lights scratches. Front shocks are getting weak (rear ones were replaced), they now start leaking slowly.
Has factory OEM block heater (wonderful!), also has a aftermarket Viper remote with remote start, but we had it disabled (fuses pulled).
We would appreciate if someone could give us an idea what we could ask for, or if someone is interested, tell us what they would pay.
