intrepid brake upgrade?

I have upgraded my 01 Intrepid ES with Chrysler 300 special wheels and aftermarket ceramic brake pads. The pads keep the dust down but I keep warping my rotars and would like to upgrade using Intrepid RT or 300 special brakes and rotars. Is this even possible? Also my car must have originally been a fleet car and it doesn't have ABS. Should this matter?

I do not think it is the pads, but possibly where the rotors are coming from. I am not a mechanic...

The so-called "warping" that everyone like to refers to is actually un-even pad deposits on the rotor surface. This causes uneven friction during brake application, and hence, the pulsation that you feel at the steering wheel.

An aggressive pad will reduce the likelihood, but no gurantee of preventing it. Did you ever apply the brakes hard and sit at the stoplight with hot pads?

The R/T don't have anything special other and outward venting rotors, which won't really increase performance by much. The Special and Police came with very aggressive pads from the factory, and might be the right answer. The Hawk HP+ are probably very similar to the police pads.

If a pad doesn't dust, chances are it's not a performance pad. I can fade most ceramic pads very easy on aggressive canyon drives. Semi-metallics are better for performance.
