Florida Keys

Just got back from vacation in the Florida Keys, and let me tell you: the Intrepid sightings were few and far between. I can remember seeing three between the airport in Miami, a week in the Keys, and then back to the airport. Overall, there weren't many LH's on display down there at all. Sad.

On the other hand, there were a lot of new Chrysler products: Sebrings, Avengers, Chargers, 300's, Calibers. I have to assume that most of them were rentals.

On another note, my rental car was a Mercury Grand Marquis, which is an old man's car (I'm 53 when I say that), but you have to love almost any V8. It was quiet and powerful.

That sounds like the complete opposite of the way it is up here in Michigan. There are Intrepids everywhere! The vast majority are SE's with a few ES's, R/T's and SXT's running around. There's only a few 300M's and some Concorde's/LHS's. The strange thing is that there hasn't been an LH on our car lots in almost two years! I had to drive almost a hundred miles to get my ES last fall, from a little car lot in the middle of nowhere.

There are a lot of them here in the DC area too - mostly SE's, and a lot of them for sale on cars.com. But nobody in south Florida is into them. I'll have to check cars.com and see if there are any for sale.

My neighbor has a 300m, 300, and a black Intrepid MSE. They're all over the place around here.

I love my neighborhood: there is an average of one Intrepid, Concorde, or 300M on every block. (Some have two, so they make up for those that don't)
