need some advise 1998 intrepid ES...

i have researched this and have yet to find anywhere a solution , i own a 98 ES Intrepid, i first noticed a problem when about 2 wks ago, the car had a long crank before it started , then recently it would start then shut off after about 2 sec's... when i finally got it started the gauges would not work/ ac would not work also ...but the car stayed on and drove normally .. i checked all my fuses and moved some relay switches and even disconnected my negative ground cable overnight... well the next day it fired back up all the gauges worked even the a/c worked ..but the following day the car started but the gauges stopped working/ ac also stopped ...check engine light came on after about 30 secs and my factory alarm light came on also and stays lit continuously , which it had never done before.. i clicked the key forward three times and it did not give me any kind of codes , could the factory alarm somehow affect my gauges / make the car die after two secs when it first started giving me trouble? has anyone had this kind of trouble with thier interpid? appreciate any help.....
