2002 2.7 is losing it

2002 dodge intrepid. I just fixed a low idle problem that a member here suggested to do. He suggested that I take out the iac valve clean the carbon build up and replace it. I noticed the o ring slightly damaged, and replaced that as well....rpm settled in at 700 and we were working just fine. I live in southern california. So it hasn't rained in a awhile. But when it did. Wow! It hit the intrepid like a ton of bricks. I had made it home from work ok. I went to the store and went to turn off car. Key in hand and the engine kept running car did not turn off...W T!.....I had to disconnect the iac valve to stop the car. Then disconnected battery....I disassembled the ignition. Checked connectors around ignition for shorts. Assembled everything. Worked temporarily...car turns off at times. But I hear a click from the engine. I traced it to iac...disconnected it and click went away...error codes I get are p0180 po181 blower motor circuit.......finally car turns off ...just opening the door will turn car on " dash lights on".... Definitely a short of some sort......help...please anyone......
